Is it hot in July?

I'm wondering how many other 33 year old married, mother's of 3 go to Warped Tour concerts. I'm not talking about the mom that accompanies their teenage or preteen children. I mean the grown women (or men for that matter) that are super stoked to see the all the bands and have dreamed of this event. In fact, when my 15 year old asked if she could tag along I adamantly replied "NO!" I told her she wasn't hardcore enough for this concert.

I will be traveling over 4 hours to go to the concert, even further south. I expect the July heat to be oppressive. In all likelihood, I will even feel extremely old in comparison to the rest of the crowd. I haven't let this damper my spirit one iota.

In the past, I let many things keep me from this concert tour. Finances, my physical size, my health, my perception of my families inability to survive without me, and dozens of other reasons. But now over 100 lbs down and with a determination to fulfill this dream, I am full steam ahead.

I may pass out from heat exhaustion, but so could any young person. I may be hurt by the crowd, but so could anyone else. I doubt many others in attendance will appreciate the experience as much as I will.
